Last weekend we had a death in our family. . . our van of 5 years finally gave up. It is a truly sad story. We were all packed on Saturday morning, ready to have a adventurous weekend visiting the grandparents. The kids were excited and Nate and I were all dressed to go to the Temple once we got the kids dropped off at Grandmas. Alas, when we got on the freeway, we found, to our dismay, that the van would not shift into fifth gear. Were we aware that the van was ill, you ask? Yes, but I had such great plans for it to keep going, no matter what kind of abuse we put it through. Unfortunately, the van had other plans. So, instead of going to Grandma's we went home. You can imagine what this did to the children. Once home we were stuck with on our tiny pick up truck for transportation. Five people don't fit so well in a pickup. We had to beg rides off of neighbors for several days.
Thankfully, we found a new van today. We are happy to welcome the 2000 Pontiac Montana into our home. We will try not to neglect you so you won't leave us too soon.

Special Thanks to Mom and Dad Stalker, who picked us up in Salt Lake City after we took the Frontrunner down from Ogden. Then they drove us to the dealership in Draper where we bought our new van. Love you guys.

It looks great you guys. We'll have to post out little or should I say big blue bullet also. Minivans are so nice for the room, I'm just getting used to the wide turns. We're happy that you found a winner and it looks nice. Hope to see you soon!

Congrats! I love getting new cars...
Oops... I started a class blog, and changed my profile name... I didn't realize it changed it this extensively... I will change it back, so I go back to being Andrea. :)
Yay!!! I'm so glad you got something so quickly! It looks great! Thanks for posting, I've been worried about what you guts were going to do. Isn't it great how things always work out somehow.
Oh, I heard about your troubles!! So sorry, great new van though! We missed you at FHE, maybe next time.
Because you are a teacher, I can invite you to see my class blog... just let me know what your email address is. Yes, I see Ryan occasionally. I can give you more info about that through email also.
Congrats! Sorry that you had to miss the temple though. It's hard enough to go with kids as it is. Well I hope that you won't have anymore problems with vehicles anymore.
Ooh, pretty! Aren't parents the best? I appreciate mine so much more now that I don't live with them anymore and have kids of my own. It makes me kind of sad to think that my own kids probably won't appreciate us until they have their own kids, too.
Congrats on the new van!
