Camping. . . oh the dread.

O.k. So, I just going to say it. I love the mountains. I love to be there. I love everything about it, except the being dirty and sleeping in strange places. So, this weekend, I conquered my dread and we went roughing it with Grandma and Grandpa Baxter. Grandma Baxter is a die hard. There is no roughing it too rough for her. So we camped way up high with no bathrooms and no running water. We all had a fabulous time. Even me. Thanks Tom and Mary! You two are the best!

So beautiful! I love to camp, but we've only been once with kids. I'm so lazy! I can't bring myself to prepare and pack everything and then come home with everything dirty, no matter how much fun the in-between part is.

You are too brave. My idea of roughing it is a cabin in the woods, with a toilet and preferably a shower. Yep, I'm a wuss.

I hope I have that much energy when I'm a grandma...so cool! Don't worry Steph, you're stinky even when you're not camping. SCHERZO! (I couldn't help myself...!) TVTTTTTB. Juliet

Good for you! I never liked camping until recently. I still like running water, but some roughing it is easier than non-roughing it. For instance, hammocks are easier/more comfy than tents, no bathroom is better than a Biffy, and just wearing the same ol'dirty clothes is easier to pack & clean than having an assortment : )

I meant HAVING no bathroom at all is better than having a biffy...it kinda looks like I was saying that biffy's are better than anything, and that's NOT what I meant.

Wow-Where did you guys go? We went camping last year and it was so much fun. If it wasn't so much darn work we would go more. The kids love it.
When are you coming down next? We need to get together for real.
